Alfonso joined the firm as a financial advisor after ten years at Equitable, where he achieved the firm’s Centurion award for production three years in a row and was named a National Leader in one. Before that, he spent 20 years working as a professional tax planner. He is passionate about financial education, working with his clients so that they understand and participate in key decisions about budget planning, tax planning and debt management. He specializes in helping clients make the transition from working life to a financially secure retirement. His doctoral thesis titled “Financial Planning: Key Factors when Retiring in Puerto Rico” has become a cornerstone study on improving financial literacy in the island.
Figueroa holds FINRA License Series 6 and Series 63 licenses. In his spare time, Domingo spends time with his family in the beach town of Boqueron. He also does extensive charitable outreach providing pro bono tax preparation services in low income and undeserved communities.
